YWG updated Wood kernel into V1.54 today, which mainly fixed Pokemon Europe ROMs to be played on R4 DS card.

Which Flash Card Works on 3DS Ver 4.4.0-10

Nintendo released its 3DS XL / 3DS system Ver 4.4.0-10 U/E/A/J a while ago. Up to now, some flash carts work with this 3DS 4.4 system, some not. Some parents want to buy one right gift card for this coming 2012 Xmas.

Now, R4WOOD share out what we find about these flash carts. And the result is updated on Oct 30th, 2012.

Note: In this video, all flash carts are firmware upgraded to the highest system compatibility. Please do not update your 3DS XL / 3DS console system before having your flash cart firmware upgraded if you have one already.

Maybe some people are wondering why we have not tested them on other console like 3DS XL Ver 4.4.0-10U or lower system 4.3.0-10E.
Do not worry about it. Once the flash cart works fine on this 3DS Ver 4.4.0-10J, it will surely works on 3DS XL / 3DS LL / 3DS Ver 4.4.0-10 U/E/A and below system versions.

Below will list out the result accordingly from the upper left to the right, then the second line.

• R4i Gold 3DS, made from www.r4ids.cn with PCB number C, works fine.
• R4i SDHC 3DS, made from www.r4i-sdhc.com with PCB number 3, works fine.
• R4i Gold Plus, made from www.r4ids.com with PCB ver 3D, works fine.
• R4iTT purple, new version without screw on the back, made from www.r4itt.net, works fine.
• R4iTT black, out of production from www.r4itt.net, blocked error; so does the old R4iTT purple.
• DSTWO, made from www.supercard.sc, works perfectly; this is the only one 3rd generation flash cart among these cards.
• Acekard 2i, www.acekard.com, blocked with error message. Although it is popular 2nd generation flashcart, firmware upgrade becomes harder and harder for acekard team.
• R4 Gold Pro, www.r4i-gold.com, works fine.
• R4i-Gold 3DS, www.r4i-gold.com, works fine.
• R4 Dual Core, www.r4isdhc.com, works fine.
• M3i Zero, www.m3adapter.com, blocked with error.

In addition, DSTTi made from www.ndstt.com does not support either.

R4i Gold Plus card, made from www.r4ids.com, is owned by many r4 users. They love its firmware upgrade ability and kernel applications, involving

These applications and operation interface are most convenient among so many flashcards. However, users are also complaining about its kernel update - too slow. R4i Gold Plus users could not enjoy the newest DS game ROMs with their official kernel.

Thanks to RetroGameFan, you could use his kernel patch to play latest DS games now. How ? Below will instruct you step by step.

1. Download and install latest official R4i Gold Plus kernel; if you are not familiar with kernel installation, you can refer to this detailed guide.
2. Download RetroGameFan Muti Cart Kernel, extract that xxx.7z file via WinRar, find a folder named R4i Gold Plus, then open SYSTEM folder in it, copy extinfo.dat, infolib.dat, savlib.dat to overwrite the three ones in its official System folder.
3.At the same time, find usrcheat.dat at the same directory of R4i Gold Plus folder in that decompressed folder, copy usrcheat.dat and overwrite the official one in its SYSTEM\cheats folder.
4. Now you can take out your memory card and have it tested on your R4i Gold Plus card.
